residency

Workspace residencies are 5 to 15 days per project. Artists can apply as individuals or as part of a collective, an organisation, etc.

selection criteria

• Responsibility, taking care of the areas, thoughtful of neighbours, doing your own production, etc.
• Inclusivity: make it possible for yourself and for others.
• Time-space: compatibility of our shedules.
• Resources: residencies are funded by donations
• A complete application. (see Application)

what we do

• Have a talk about your artistic work for your residency at our atelier/gallery
• Announcing your work presentation (optional) through our website and social media.
• Documenting your residency project on our website.
• Inviting you to tell other artists about rezgauche.

accommodation

Depending on the available space, a private guestroom above the workspace can accommodate artists during their residency at the workspace. Please mention this in your application and apply a few months in advance if you would need a guestroom during your workspace residency. Do not apply for accommodation outside of your residency project.

costs

For a residency you can pay what you want, or alternative to financial support, artists can help with organisation.

• does your work include a public presentation?
• how should we contact you?

After you've applied, we'll discuss and let you know what is possible by email.

Note: when we're busy with our artwork, it happens that we reply late to your application, so bear in mind to plan well ahead, or call or sms us at +32488367723 if you need a response. We don't respond to voice messages or social media apps.
