Born in London, Mindora trained at the Arts Ed in classical ballet and theatre and at the Laban for Contemporary Dance. She has independently studied with Tony Thatcher, Julian Hamilton as well as David Zambrano and Patricia Kuypers amongst others.

Mindora is presenting as artist in residence a retrospective of film dance of her work and self-videos scanning 20 years of her work in London/Paris/Berlin/Athens. Mindora was invited in December 2021 by the Vortex Gallery in Brussels to present her solo work “I'm a Pisces”, which she also recently performed at the “TicTac Art center” and invited Anna Doyle to show her film, with whom she has been collaborating with since 2021 (for International Brussels Dance Film Festival/ ImPulsTanz, Austria). As a guest artist, Anna Doyle will be showing some of her experimental films made in Paris and in Brussels.

Mindora's "I'm a Pisces" started in Berlin where Mindora was based from 2014. The debut resulted in an article about her work in Le Petit Journal and after a residency with "I am " she created "The rough romantics" at Tanzfabrik Uferstudios in 2015. She toured her work from Berlin to Hamburg, Paris and is currently in Brussels to create a new work as well as to teach her workshop at rezgauche. Mindora was invited to the vortex in brussels in 2021 exchange with other artists.

Biography

Trained in Drama and Dance at the Arts Educational Schools in London (presided over by Sir Andrew Llloyd Webber), Mindora has enjoyed a career as dancer,choreographer, instructor and visual artist for 30 years. A star pupil, who became West End material by the age of 16, she later trained in ballet, BMC (Mind Body Centering) and Laban notation as well as developed an avid interest in researching body work. A pioneer of "video dance" in the 1980s, combining multimedia with live performance approach, her performance piece Dark Light was curated by the ICA (Institute for Contemporary Arts) for its groundbreaking approach.
